• Now reading: Traditional Dispense Systems Vs Future of Dispense

Drinks dispense specialist Brewfitt have supplied dispense equipment to the UK drinks market for over 25 years. Traditionally this market has been core to their business and includes both micro and major breweries and dispense equipment for Britvic and other leading soft drink manufacturers.

More recently, following a commitment to develop more innovative products, Brewfitt have supplied equipment to several other industries including those in Japan, Canada, Europe and Australia establishing working relationships with major brewers across the world, including AB Inbev and Molson Coors.

Brewfitt has a long standing reputation for innovation within the drinks dispense market, dating back to the 1950’s when the grandfather of the current MD invented the inline beer cooler, which led to the first drinks dispense cooling system. As one of the UK's leading suppliers to pubs and bars, Brewfitt have had to constantly innovate to provide better products and services to remain market leaders.

Two of its most forward thinking innovations, 2flow and CoolTube, have been combined to form Future of Dispense, an advanced drinks dispense system which delivers maximum efficiency and cooled to perfection drinks. It guarantees brand quality, optimum temperatures as well as providing huge savings in wastage and energy, guaranteeing a better customer experience and retaining customer and brand loyalty for the brewer or pub operator.

Future of Dispense responds to a market demand for quality cooled to perfection draught drinks in pubs and bars whilst delivering these colder drinks with savings in cash and energy. Currently, highly inefficient technology, which is over 50 years old, has been adapted. Drinks are delivered, stored and initially cooled by 3kW cellar coolers. Drinks are then further chilled by additional 1kW ice bank coolers prior to being pumped to the bar area where they are further cooled by a combination of additional 1kW cooling.

Addressing the issues that directly affect the customer with new innovations is what sets Brewfitt apart from the competition. A constant improvement cycle of liaison, testing and analysis of situations where innovative products are trialled on customer premises has been key over the last few years. This has led to product development such as ice which freezes at sub-zero temperatures and an efficient heat exchanger which removes the need for the 3 stage cooling method described above.

These innovations can save the average venue between £3-5k annually on electricity and beer wastage. This results in £100m annual savings of electricity within the beer industry by the removal of cellar cooling in certain venues and big reduction in the number of icebank coolers required. This  also saves pubs around 750 million pints of beer which would normally be wasted on line cleaning. Unlike a traditional system, no link lines or cooler coils are required with Future of Dispense which means less beer is wasted and cooled at the point of dispense.

Brewfitt recognise that drinks dispense methods are very similar throughout the world. Efficient cooling is key to cost savings, reduced energy wastage and product quality. Brewfitt have combined the sub-zero ice concept and the efficient heat exchanger to realise a complete solution for drinks dispense. Other than the benefits already described it gives the customer a single simple method and removes the complicated ‘mysticism’ of current methods.
