Primary pressure reducing regulators or primary reduction valves (PRV) as they are commonly known are used to connect CO2 & mixed gas cylinders to a beverage dispense system. These gases will then provide `top pressure` to the product kegs and also to any fitted gas pumps from the dedicated gas type ring-mains. In order to use the gas from a cylinder a reduction of the very high pressure to a much lower operating pressure is required.
